Are you free?
Freedom is thought to be present in multiple aspects: freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom from occupation, freedom to choose, and so on.
But are you really free?!
I came across messages from prisoners who realized that although they were physically imprisoned, they are free! (please check Gangaji Foundation’s Prison Program for more info) And I once was on a call when a sick lady was describing how her medical condition would not allow her to move much and yet she is free.
What is freedom?!
Is freedom to be free physically? Is it to be free to speak, to express, to move, etc.?! Or is it to be free from thought, from desire?!
Are we imprisoned in our desires?! The desire of seeking pleasure and running away from pain?! The seesaw of seeking pleasure and running away from pain is a trap. A trap created in the material world, where the ‘I’ thought identifies with objects and subjects.
So, can you be free from desire?!
Are you truly free?!
